GatorStep

GatorStep builds custom decking and protective surfaces for boats, which means thousands of part numbers and no two orders cut the same way. The operation had outgrown Microsoft and Odoo. KoldOps deployed OpsBox as the custom ERP toolbox across the whole quote-to-cash chain, then handed the development environment to GatorStep so the system keeps evolving with the floor.

The Problem

The bottleneck was never the floor. It was the back office.

Sales, production, and finance each lived in a different system, so answering one customer question meant opening three. Work moved through the shop on paper travelers, which made work-in-progress a guess until someone walked the floor and counted. Material was laid out by hand, so every sheet carried scrap that nobody had priced. Orders shipped, then finance found out. For a company running thousands of part numbers against custom cuts, the software had stopped describing how the operation actually worked.
